Villafranca Montes de Oca to Atapuerca

I left this morning about 9.30, already at an elevation of about 950 metres. The climb eventually ends up close to 1200 metres covering about 12km. I was more prepared for bad weather today, it was 4 degrees when I started walking. It started to rain with in about 40 minutes of starting. I only had to put on my waterproof trousers as I was wrapped up early. Winter gear already on. As the walked climbed I passed through woodlands of pines and heather and brown dead braken lichens of greens and browns growing up the trees oaks pressing up inspite of the farmed pines. Eventually the path widened as I headed down into San Juan, I stopped for lunch relieved that I could rest my right ankle that had bern hurting for the previous 5 km. After lunch I limped on unsure if it was the right decision, eventually my ankle allowing me to finish the walk into Atapuerca. It rained all day today and the tempetature never really went above 4 degrees. It took 7 hours, ive started to go slower to try to nurse my ankle along. Im in Burgos tomorrow i hope to work out why ive been dizzy and have my ankle looked at. But over all today was a good day.
