I started out from Puenta La Reina at 8.30 the sky was washed out with clouds streaked through it. The walk out is fairly easy, until the climb which is long over a good distance it left me looking for air. Yesterday was 21 or 22, the sun beat down relentlessly, that makes the walk harder. Early on in the walk i met a lady cslled Joanna we walked together. The camino is not busy but there is a steady flow of pilgrims, some solo travellers like me and groups. The distance was supposed to be 13 miles but in reality close to 18 miles, i could feel my blisters grow as i walked. We arrived in Lorca about 2 pm luckily the Alburgue was serving food. Just after 3 we left and walked to Estella. The path climbs and falls, sometimes steps or what looks like washed out paths not an even foot anywhere. Its long and dusty but lots of green everywhere. On arrival in Estella my walking partner realised she should have stopped in Lorca a taxi fixed that. Finding food last night was difficult not because there isnt any but i let my emotions take over. I guess i was angry tired frustrated and in some pain. Im now on another rest day. Dammit.
