Pamplona to Puenta La Reina

Day one didnt start on the 9th it started on the coach from San Sebastian. I met a lady called Kaz who started talking to me and the rest followed, we decided to walk out of pamplona together the next morning. Kaz met me outside my hotel at 9 am, I promised I knew where we were going. We notice i say we got lost, after 2 hours still in the city sitting in a service station we took a taxi to Cizur Menor 2 kilometres into the walk. That made all the difference, the walk upto Alto de le Perdon was easy until it wasnt. It really is a breath taking walk, both ways. Its an 800 metre climb worth it all at the top, before then my feet and ankles started to hurt. Plantar faciatis arthritis. Ill call it a camino gift not that i need reminding that im not invincible, but still i kept walking Kaz stuck with me.Before the summit in a village called Zariquiegui we stopped for lunch and sat in the sun and high winds and ate our Bocadillos. We made the top at just after 12 then headed down. My Knees stood up to the ascent and the descent. Thank you the team at the London clinic who helped get me here. By Urtega 8 kilometres from Puenta La Reina i was done, but i walked through the village anyway. Then i stopped to think about what the physios and others have taught me or advised me on. Ie I am Entirely up to myself. I walked back into urtega and taxied the rest of the way. I knew i was done but its difficult to let go of a target sometimes but im.glad i did. Got a massage, in the evening and today im.resting in the hope that tomorrow my feet will have recovered enough, either way i continue tomorrow. Yesterday for context because we got lost i walked 18 miles.
