Walking down to the recovery college today for an interview to become a peer tutor, I saw an old victorian writing box dumped at the side of the road. Off course I walked over and had a look at it, all it really needed was a clean and to be refinished. I have a problem, if I see anything dumped at the side of the road and its looks like its worth something I want it. Well thats not completely true, I worked hard at the theraputic community to get past that issue and I mostly have. But every now and again I get the temptation, to pick something up rescue it. But all that used to happen was that it would go on an ever growing pile of rescues that I thought were worth money. If Ive learnt anything on the Camino its that I dont need anymore baggage than I already have, it the box stayed where it was. Its good to let go of your own baggage and that of other people that you dont need. I did get the job, I will work an hour a week at the recovery college. I am happy with that, new experiences and challenges. I can already feel the sweat trickling down my back.
You’ll be ace. Good for you
