Last Monday I walked 35km. Its been a week since I walked any where. So today I went for a walk, the Regents canal is not the Camino. A totally different feeling, so many people, joggers, cyclists, couples strolling, people walking. The water was british racing green, glassy smooth in places, the wind danced across the water sending ripples across sections of the canal. Narrow boats, wide beam barges, dutch barges, old life boats even one very small old sailing boat the canal was full of life both on and off the water. The first ten kilometres were good, but I knew that I had fogotten something. My feet I needed to tape my toes, forgot to do that, my shoes the wrong size. Before the walk no problem but now, lets just say the ten kilometres back hurt a lot more. I am going to keep walking, adjustments will be made. Even though I am not on Camino, the walking that I do does have a purpose. I can look past the differences, every step brings new experiences new places to see and walk too.
