I am now back in this lovely city. It is completley different from when I arrived here 5 or was it 6 days ago. Then it was cold, raining and very windy. Today it is sunny the sky is blue and clear. The only marks on the sky are those left by aeroplanes as they fly high above the city. I was unsure how I felt about my arrival into Santiago, and off course I was glad to arrive happy to stand in the square in front of the cathedral and know that I had walked across Spain. I was more excited to see those friends that I had met along the way, who had for various reasons gone on ahead. It was a feeling of great happiness and friendship to see them again. Hans who I had walked with for the first week or so was here, it was great to see him and hugs were exchanged. We linked arms and he excited as much as I was escorted me to the cathedral. That was probably a much more emotional experience, than seeing the physical place of Santiago. I got to sit with James who I also walked with in the first week, we had lunch before he left to go home. I have met and made some great friends and feel that great friendships have been formed.
