Or almond cake. I am turning into my Dad. When I was a kid my parents would bring us my two sisters and me. On long holidays to Spain, we would drive down. One of the reasons for spanish holidays was that my mother had done a degree in Spanish language and Literature. Anyway my father would ask for Tarte de Almendra every chance he could, I tried it once or twice but then it was good but not coke or ice cream. On this Camino I have probably had no more than 10 slices, but some have been ok and others have been worth seconds and thirds (i didnt get seconds or thirds). There are two problems or three actually, I have no idea how to get to any of them by car, some are so remote that by foot is the way to get to them and the third problem I didnt write down where I had any of them dammit. Am I going to have to walk the Camino again for the perfect slice of almond cake. Probably.
