I know that I have only been walking for four days, but a lot can happen and a lot can change. Today we left from Larrasoana, to walk to Pamplona. My boots and my arthritic knees have been giving me hell. The walk into Pamplona was great, but painfull. Arriving into the old city was great, full of people. I stopped for lunch joining the group I have been travelling with. Foremost on my mind was the resolution of the feet and knees. Walking on in the old city, I came across a great shop called.
La Tienda Del Camino.
The owner Ignacio was shutting for lunch when I arrived. He did every thing he could to help, he looked at my boots, my socks, I still cant believe he touched my hot sweaty socks or that he took a look at my blisters. Needless to say it was an emotional experience, I left with new shoes and socks, walking staffs, and knee braces. I even cried. Ignacio said in passing its not unusual especially when walking with the wrong gear. He helped all of us in one way or another, he adjusted three of the four packs even that made a great difference. He is a kind gentle man with great humour who embodies the people and spirit of the people who live on the Camino
